Only Love | Mary J. Blige LINK IN BIO TO LISTEN After releasing her latest album last year, Mary is back with new music. I guess Mary is officially the R&B auntie and that seems clear with this release. I don't feel like Mary is too old to be making the sound that we got from What's the 411 and even My Life because that is not the sound that we've been getting from Mary in a while. I don't hate the song, but the production is just making the song feel super dated to me. The production coupled with the way that Mary is singing on the song makes me feel like it's a song that I would hear during a mediocre but entertaining cruise ship performance. I've been feeling like for a while, there's been something missing from Mary's music and that feeling doesn't disappear with this release. Feels Like Summer | Childish Gambino LINK IN BIO TO LISTEN After giving us a grim reminder of the current days/times of America, Childish Gambino is back to uplift our spirits, at least for the moment. Today, he dropped off two tracks, both clearly giving summertime vibes. The other track is also appropriately titled, being called "Summertime Magic." This track really does put you in the mood to be outside somewhere simultaneously enjoying the warm sun and a subtle summer breeze. The song definitely contains the elements of what you would expect from Childish Gambino at this point and it's hard to put the song in one particular genre of music. I think there has been hints of a new project from Childish to follow the acclaimed Awaken, My Love! album that was released late 2016. If all three of the songs we've heard from him this year belong to the same project, it should be an interesting mix of music. Jugg King (Remix) | Young Scooter x Rick Ross x T.I. LINK IN BIO TO LISTEN It has literally been over a year since Scooter blessed us with this song. I've been a strong proponent of the song since it's initial release and I've been hoping that the song would get some real working so Scooter could get him another one. I've been in a few social settings over the last few months and have the track but I feel like a few DJ's & the streets caught on, but it never really caught on with the general public. Adding these two heavy hitters to the song should hopefully increase it's exposure. The highlight of the remix is Rozay as he leads the track off so effortlessly. This version is worth replacing the original because we still get Scooter's original verses. It looks like they're going to keep working the track and see if It can gain some traction.
