Refugee | Skip Marley

After recently being featured (and co-writing) Katy Perry's debut single, "Chained to the Rhythm," off her latest album, Skip is here with new music of his own.  Assumedly, this is a single release for an upcoming album or other project, and he's staying true to his roots with it.  Following in the footsteps of his grandfather, the legendary Bob Marley, the song both musically and lyrically captures that Marley spirit.  Although he shares some similarities with his uncles and cousins in the music game, I can hear the distinctness in his sound.  The song is super catchy and I'm really digging the production.  The track has a reggae sound, but it's not so overt that the song couldn't pass across other markets as well.  Looking forward to hearing more from him.
