We No Dey Fear | Sarkodie x Jayso
I don't know how many times I have to tell y'all to start paying attention to these African artists before y'all start listening to me. Sarkodie is no stranger to many fans of afrobeat, afropop and hiplife music. I previously blogged about one of my favorite songs from Sarkodie and he's here with a new album Highest that was released at the top of September. For fans of American hip-hop, I challenge you to give this artist and his album a try and I would be surprised if you didn't find quite a few tracks that you find yourself jamming to. Sarkodie shows that he's not to be taken lightly in the rap game and this particular track is an example of that. The Ghanian rapper not so humbly boasts that he's ready for whatever and does so over pretty dope production that I would describe as a hip hop beat. Although not necessarily present on this track, a lot of the other songs from the album have a nice fusion between the African sound and the typical American hip-hop sound. Sidetone, the cover art with his gorgeous daughter is adorable!
