SLAY | YG x Quavo
I haven't had the opportunity to get all the way into YG's new album, STAY DANGEROUS, but when combing through the tracklist, this song immediately caught my attention simply because of the title. I wasn't quite sure where the two would go with the song, but it starts off so appropriately then quickly leads into the sultry production. I've complained before about the redundancy of DJ Mustard's production, but he switched it up for this track, thank God! The song, a clear ode to the ladies, is not something that will necessarily turn into an anthem, but it's okay. It's cool to hear YG switch up the rap style a little bit from what we're used to hearing from him. Quavo Quavo'd on the track so no surprises there and I'm sure although the fellas may skip the track, it may end up faved by a lot of females that are fans of YG..
